Why I’m here…

One of my biggest joys in life is cooking, followed closely by cooking for my most appreciative husband, Barry, who was diagnosed two years ago with Parkinson’s disease.
It has become increasingly difficult for him to use a fork and knife, so I have decided that he will continue to enjoy the excellent and healthy cuisine he’s grown accustomed to from my kitchen without forfeiting aesthetics, taste, texture and variety. And, of course, healthy ingredients.

Whether you’re a caregiver or someone with PD, I hope to inspire you with recipes, either original or gleaned from some of my favorite sources. Let’s keep those meals fun and delicious! And spoonworthy!

I forgot to mention I like taking pictures of food, too.

About Eat With A Spoon Goodness

I'm an artist: a graphic designer and photographer by trade and a cook at heart. I think, at some point in my life, the talents will converge and I will finally write and illustrate my own cookbook. I have a wonderful husband, Barry, and three great, all grown up, kids. I'm looking forward to learning new things, sharing ideas and information, and making new friends.

I tried to type once before but lost my post but I wanted to say welcome to both you and Barry. There are wonderful caregivers here and some affected folks, too. I fall into the latter category, diagnosed a little over 3 years ago, the same month my father was diagnosed, too. His tremor complicates his eating so I’ll be curious to see what works for you and Barry.

    • Thank you, Lucy. I hope I can be of some help. This is new territory for me and I’m trying to be as creative as possible to keep meals interesting.
Please let me know how things work for you. I’d love the feedback.

I have a private blog about dealing with Parkinson’s so that I don’t burden/sadden my children If you’d like to access it, let me know and I can add you to the “approved” list.

  3. Dear EWAS Goddess: Thanks so much so visiting my blog and signing on to follow it. I’m happy to welcome you to my little corner of the web! Cheers, Marci
